The expression of Nlg1^{Δextra.Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC,T:Avic\GFP-EGFP} under the control of Scer\GAL4^Mef2.PU leads to a significant reduction in the number of synaptic boutons at the third instar larval neuromuscular junction, as compared to controls.

Bouton number per muscle area at the neuromuscular junction is significantly reduced compared to wild type in third instar larvae expressing Nlg1^{Δcyto.Scer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP-EGFP} under the control of Scer\GAL4^Mef2.PR.
