Co-expression of NcNIG.8091R with hpoΔauto.Scer\UAS in the developing wing discs (under the control of Scer\GAL4nub-AC-62) dramatically reduces the level of cell death, with a concomitant rescue of adult wing size.

Clones of cells expressing nabEP642 in the wing imaginal disc (under the control of Scer\GAL4Scer\FRT.Rnor\CD2.Act5C) co-expressing NcNIG.8091-R1 display strong JNK activity associated with robust extra tissue growth.

Co-expression of NcNIG.8091-R1 in clones of cells expressing nabEP642 in the wing imaginal disc (under the control of Scer\GAL4Scer\FRT.Rnor\CD2.Act5C) efficiently suppresses effector caspase activity but compensatory proliferation of neighboring cells still occurs.
