Clonal expression of Tl10b.UAS.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4Act5C.PP in the larval fat body induces smaller cells with smaller nuclei, as compared to neighboring control cells.

The expression of Tl10b.UAS.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4r4 leads to considerable smaller pupae that have severely lower weight, as compared to controls.

Third instar larvae expressing Tl10b.Scer\UAS.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4r4 have a significantly reduced triglyceride/protein ratio compared to controls.

Larvae expressing Tl10b.Scer\UAS.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4r4 are significantly reduced in size compared to controls. They show a developmental delay of approximately 24-36 hours and have reduced viability. Adult escapers are small than wild type.

The expression of Tl10b.UAS.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4r4 leads to smaller pupae with lower weight, whereas clonal expression under the control of Scer\GAL4Act5C.PP in the larval fat body induces induces smaller cells; both cases are substantially suppressed by the co-expression of Akt1T342D.UAS.Tag:HA. However, the smaller size and decreased weight of pupae expressing Tl10b.UAS.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4r4 is still observed upon co-expression of Pdk1UAS.Tag:MYC.

Larval fat body clones co-expressing Tl10b.UAS.cUa and Akt1UAS.Tag:Myr(Unk) under the control of Scer\GAL4Act5C.PP exhibit the same cell and nucleus size increases as observed upon Akt1UAS.Tag:Myr(Unk) single expression (although the increased nucleus size is partially suppressed), instead of the cell and nucleus size decreases observed upon Tl10b.UAS.cUa single expression. Conversely larval fat body clones co-expressing Tl10b.UAS.cUa and Pdk1UAS.Tag:MYC under the control of Scer\GAL4Act5C.PP exhibit the same cell and nucleus size decreases as observed upon Tl10b.UAS.cUa single expression, instead of the cell and nucleus size increases observed upon Pdk1UAS.Tag:MYC single expression. Larval fat body clones co-expressing Tl10b.UAS.cUa and InRA1325D.UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4Act5C.PP, however, do not show exhibit the nucleus sizes increases and decreases respectively observed upon single expressions of Akt1UAS.Tag:Myr(Unk) and Tl10b.UAS.cUa.

Clonal expression of Pi3K92EUAS.Tag:MYC,Tag:PM(hKRAS) under the control of Scer\GAL4Act5C.PP in the larval fat body induces extremely large cells with extremely large nuclei, both of which are suppressed by clonal co-expression of Tl10b.UAS.cUa.

rictorΔ2-homozygous or heterozygous pupae show a significant decrease in weight upon the expression of Tl10b.UAS.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4r4; there is also apparently smaller pupae only in the rictorΔ2-homozygous background.

Pdk133 heterozygous, but not of homozygous, pupae show a signifcan decrease in weight upon expression of Tl10b.UAS.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4r4.

Co-expression of Akt1Scer\UAS.T:Uuuu\Myr5 rescues the reduced size of larvae and adult escapers expressing Tl10b.Scer\UAS.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4r4.
