TkScer\UAS.cAa enhances the aggression-promoting effect of activating neurons labeled with the P{Tk-GAL4.TH}5Fa insertion of Scer\GAL4Tk through expression of thermosensitive TrpA1Scer\UAS.(B).cKa. The "dose-response" curve for behavior versus temperature is shifted to the left.

Expression of TkScer\UAS.cAa under the control of Scer\GAL4Tk rescues the reduced sensitivity to (S,Z,Z)-CH503 (a more potent stereoisomer of the gustatory sex pheromone CH503) seen in TkΔ1/Df(3R)ΔTk2 mutant flies. As in wild type, courtship defects are seen in these flies in response to (S,Z,Z)-CH503.

Expression of TkScer\UAS.cAa under the control of Scer\GAL4Tk rescues the reduced sensitivity to (S,Z,Z)-CH503 (a more potent stereoisomer of the gustatory sex pheromone CH503) seen in homozygous Df(3R)ΔTk2 mutant flies. As in wild type, courtship defects are seen in these flies in response to (S,Z,Z)-CH503. Expressing TkScer\UAS.cAa using Scer\GAL4NPF.1 does not restore CH503 sensitivity.
