Expression of Hsap\TARDBPScer\UAS.cLa driven by Scer\GAL4Appl.PU results in a decreased adult life span compared to controls.

Expression of Hsap\TARDBPScer\UAS.cLa under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PU results in embryonic lethality at 25[o]C, but these flies are viable at 18[o]C and exhibit abnormal climbing ability, as compared to controls.

Expression of Hsap\TARDBPScer\UAS.cLa under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PU does not lead to any obvious eye phenotype.

Expression of Hsap\TARDBPScer\UAS.cLa under the control of Scer\GAL4vg.PU results in a subset of flies possessing supernumerary scutellar bristles.

Expression of Hsap\TARDBPScer\UAS.cLa under the control of Scer\GAL4221 results in a significant increase in dendritic branching in the ddaE and ddaF neurons of third instar larvae compared to controls. The increase in dendritic branching is mostly seen near the cell body.

Co-expression of Hsap\TARDBPUAS.cLa suppresses the neurodegeneration seen in flies expressing Zzzz\CGG90.UAS.EGFP under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PU. The locomotion defects seen in flies expressing Zzzz\CGG90.UAS.EGFP neuronally is also suppressed in these flies.
