      Inhibition (using shi1.UAS at 33[o]C) of Scer\GAL4VT046095 cells in adults does not affect short term (5 min) aversive olfactory memory, compared to controls; inhibition during testing significantly reduces medium term (3 h) aversive olfactory memory, including its anaesthesia-resistant component, and long term (24 h after massed training) aversive olfactory memory, compared to controls; inhibition does not affect olfactory acuity, compared to controls.

      Inhibition of the combined set of Scer\GAL4VT046095 and Scer\GAL4GMR12C11 neurons significantly reduces short term (5 min) aversive olfactory memory, compared to controls.
