      Expression of Rac1N17.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4rut-1047 (using tub-Gal80[ts] to limit the expression to the adult stage) in rut1047 hemizygote adult males does not affect the acquisition defect characteristic for rut1047 mutants but it significantly improves their 3 hr memory performance compared to controls.
