      su(Hw)A2663 allele fails to complement both the female sterility phenotype and the loss of gypsy insulator function (assayed through body, wing and bristle phenotypes induced by mutations in the y, ct and f genes) induced by each of the following alleles: su(Hw)V, su(Hw)2, su(Hw)e04061 or su(Hw)E8 alleles and also does not complement the separation-of-function alleles su(Hw)7 and su(Hw)A460 or su(Hw)M393 that only affect the gypsy insulator function or the female fertility, respectively.
