Frame-shifting mutation i the first extracellular Ig domain: 8bp deletion starting in codon 116 plus insertion of TATCCA in place of the sequence AATTCC normally found at codons 123 and 124.
An 8 bp deletion causes a frameshift after Q115. In addition, 14 bp downstream of the deletion, the sequence AATTCC is replaced with TATCCA.
MARCM clones for Ptp69DCRISPR.14 in class IV dendritic arborizing neurons in third instar larvae show strong reduction in terminal dendrite density (but not total dendrite density or terminal dendrite number) compared to controls. Ptp69DCRISPR.14/Df(3L)8ex34 transheterozygous larvae display severe decrease in both the total and terminal dendrite density as well as terminal dendrite number.
