The following information accompanied stocks donated to the Bloomington Stock Center by Barry Honda, Simon Fraser University. (Also see associated file.)
The breakpoints of the following deletions were mapped by complementation tests with mutations in sequence-defined genes.
Df(3R)Parp-1 has its proximal breakpoint between spok and Parp and its distal breakpoint between CG41099 and CG42402.
Df(3R)EP-167 was generated in a male recombination screen using P{EP}EP3632 as the progenitor. It has its proximal breakpoint between CG42402 and Gfat1 and its distal breakpoint between Dsk and CG14636.
Df(3R)9B-919 was generated in an X-ray screen. It has its proximal breakpoint between spok and Parp and its distal breakpoint between CG12581 and Dsk.
Df(3R)8740-20 was generated in a male recombination screen using P{SUPor-P}KG08740 as the progenitor. It has its proximal breakpoint between CG41099 and CG42402 and its distal breakpoint between CG40198 and CG12581.
Df(3R)8740-18 was generated in a male recombination screen using P{SUPor-P}KG08740 as the progenitor. It has its proximal breakpoint between the third chromosome centromere and Myo81F and its distal breakpoint between CG40198 and CG12581.
Df(3R)e-1676 (aka 18A-1676) was generated in an X-ray screen. It has its proximal breakpoint between Pzl and spok and its distal breakpoint between Alg-2 and Tim17b.
(Df(3R)e-204 (aka 3A-204) and Df(3R)7B-90 were also generated in an X-ray screen but were not donated to the BDSC.)
