ScerGAL4GMR40A05 drives faint expression in two sockets of the proboscis and a couple of deep cells under and proximal to the large distal macrochaeta.

In testes, ScerGAL4GMR40A05 is expressed at high levels in cyst cells and cyst progenitor cells, and at lower levels in hub cells. In ovaries, ScerGAL4GMR40A05 is expressed in escort cells, but not in follicle cells
