Lethal in combination with Df(3R)AP4.
Over 90% of Df(3R)A4-4L8 homozygous embryos survive to hatching. Approximately 27% of the nonhatching embryos show head defects, tail defects, or both. The denticle belts are virtually wild-type: only 3% have segmental fusions.
Homozygous lethal.
Recessive lethal, with melanotic tumour phenotype as for modL4 rescuable with P{mod+Sph}? Dominant suppressor of BSV.
homozygous lethal phenotype can be rescued by P element mediated transformation of mod+ gene copy. Lethal phenotype can be rescued by construct P{w+Sph}
