Detailed Description
Statement
Reference

No DA3 muscle forms in thoracic segment 2 and 3 in Antp1 embryos.

No ectopic abd-A or Abd-B expression is seen.

Pharate adult individuals have normal mesothoracic and metathoracic legs but abnormal prothoracic legs: fusion of the femur, tibia and tarsal leg segments. Failure to eclose from the pupal case is most likely due to a mechanical difficulty derived from the dramatic crippling of the prothoracic legs.
