Most wg^l-16/wg^en11 flies lack antennal structures.

(Sato et al., 1999)

When wg^{l-12.Scer\UAS} is driven by Scer\GAL4^h-1J3, the overall size and diversity of denticles are partially restored in pair rule "mirrors" to wg^en11 mutants. However naked cuticle is not recovered. When wg^{l-12.Scer\UAS} is driven by Scer\GAL4^prd.RG1, aspects of all the segmental pattern defects of wg^en11 are recovered: size, denticle diversity and naked cuticle. These cuticles have four denticle bands, each much wider than the wild type bands, but each containing all denticle types, in roughly correct order.

The antenna phenotype of wg^l-16/wg^en11 flies is significantly rescued by fz3^G10.

Dominantly enhances the weak phenotype of dsh⁴/Y flies carrying one copy of dsh^w, increasing the proportion of these flies that have defects in adult structures. sgl⁰⁸³¹⁰ homozygotes that are fully rescued by a single copy of sgl^Ubi-p63E.PH die as second instar larvae if they are also heterozygous for wg^en11.
