Detailed Description
Statement
Reference

Homozygotes have considerably shorter bristles than in wild-type flies. This defect is seen only for macrochaetae of the ocelli, notum and scutellum; the bristles of the eye, wing and leg appear normal.

Heterozygotes exhibit have very short abnormal macrochaetae.

Notes on Origin
Discoverer

Induced in: a w1118 stock. Rab6eER1, Rab6eAM4 and Rab6eAS1 were all induced in the same starting stock, and all have the same lesion (Amino acid replacement: R62C), suggesting that the mutation existed in the genetic background of the starting stock. The Rab6MEF allele, a spontaneous allele from the same starting stock, also contains the same lesion.
