chaeta | ectopic | somatic clone, with Scer\GAL4Tub.PU
Expression of kluScer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC under the control of Scer\GAL4klu-G410 results in the formation of many additional macrochaetae and microchaetae throughout the adult body. In addition bristles develop at ectopic positions, such as on the mesopleura, head, halteres and third antennal segment. Supernumerary non-innervated bristles of the posterior wing margin are also seen.
Expression of kluScer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC under the control of Scer\GAL4klu-G410 results in the formation of many supernumerary sensory organ precursor cells (SOPs) in the wing disc. In addition, the SOPs appear to develop earlier than wild type, as indicated by the premature presence of SOPs in the region of the prescutum at the late third larval instar stage.
Expression of kluScer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC under the control of Scer\GAL4sca-537.4 results in the formation of ectopic bristles in the adult head.
Expression of kluScer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC under the control of Scer\GAL4tub.PU in clones results in patches with higher bristle density in the notum and bristles at ectopic positions. When clones are located in the eye, ommatidia are replaced by bristles.
Expression of kluScer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC under the control of Scer\GAL4klu-G410 results in the recovery of only a very few bristles on the notum in Df(1)sc10-1 flies. There is an increase in the number of bristles formed on the legs in these flies compared to Df(1)sc10-1 flies.

Scer\GAL4klu-G410/kluUAS.Tag:MYC partially rescues kluG410/klu212lR51C
Activation of kluScer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC by Scer\GAL4klu-G410 in a kluG410/klu819lR5 or kluG410/klu212lR51C background leads to complete rescue of the bristle phenotype and partial rescue of the leg phenotype.
