D725N
A revertant that carries a D725N mutation in addition to the original P446L mutation of Fs(2)Ket3. Site of nucleotide substitution in mutant inferred by FlyBase curator based on reported amino acid change.
Temperature sensitive period is during the last stages of oogenesis.

Heterozygosity for Fs(2)KetRE34 results in a slight increase in the viability of animals expressing Kap-α1Scer\UAS.cMa under the control of Scer\GAL4e22c at 25[o]C and results in significantly increased viability of these animals at 27.5[o]C. The defects in tergite morphology are less severe in adult escapers expressing Kap-α1Scer\UAS.cMa under the control of Scer\GAL4e22c if they are also heterozygous for Fs(2)KetRE34.
Fs(2)KetRE34 Pen double heterozygotes deposit as many eggs as wild type, they look normal but embryogenesis never commences.
