γTub23CA15-2/Df(2L)ED4651 third instar larval adipocytes do not show defects in the normal perinuclear distribution of microtubules.

Almost all γTub23CA15-2/γTub23CA14-9 axonal microtubules (Eb1 comets) travel in an anterograde direction (similar to what is seen in control class IV da neurons) in third instar larvae.

γTub23CA15-2 heterozygous larval ddaE neurons show decreased growing microtubules within dendrites 8h and 24h after axotomy and show a decrease in the proportion of dendrites persisting 18h after consecutive axotomy and dendrite severance (i.e. axotomy-8h-dendrite severance-18h), as compared to similarly injured neurons in controls; this decrease in neurites does not occur upon a 24h interval between axotomoy and dendrite severance. Uninjured neurons do not show changes in growing microtubules within dendrites, as compared to controls.

γTub23CA15-2 heterozygous larval ddaE neurons do not show changes in axon regeneration at 48h upon proximal axotomy, as compared to similarly injured control neurons.

γTub23CA15-2 heterozygous larval ddaC neurons show a normal dendrite branch trimming after distal axon severing.

3% of γTub23CA6-2/γTub23CA15-2 animals survive to eclosion, but all quickly become stuck in the food medium.

25% of γTub23CA14-9/γTub23CA15-2 animals survive to eclosion.
