Expression of CG17856GD9481 under the control of Scer\GAL4Hand.ΔVM.Switch (initiated by feeding flies RU486 throughout development and adulthood) results in significant heart dilatation. This phenotype is partially rescued upon treatment with methylene blue.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL41407 results in an increased number of GFP-positive aggregates within neuroblast lineage cells in the larval brain compared to controls (these aggregates may indicate cell death or a disturbance of internal cellular structures).

Adults expressing UQCR-14LGD9481 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu (in the presence of Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa to increase the efficiency of RNAi) do not show a significant defect in avoidance of noxious temperature (46[o]C) compared to control flies.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4Mef2.PR results in late pupal lethality.

Ubiquitous expression using Scer\GAL4Switch.tub, induced during larval development and adulthood, prolongs life span in female flies and has variable effects on male life span. Female fertility is reduced. Flies also show improved tolerance to paraquat poisoning, but do not show improved starvation resistance. High level induction causes larval lethality.

Ubiquitous expression using Scer\GAL4Switch.tub from the onset of adulthood only does not confer robust longevity effects in male or female flies. However, female fertility is reduced.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 results in loss of bristles on the notum in 0% or 40-50% of the Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 expression domain, depending on the insertion line used.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 results in bristle morphology defects on the notum in 40-50% or 50-60% of the Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 expression domain, depending on the insertion line used.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 results in the absence of 20-30% or 50-60% of the Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237-expressing area of the notum, depending on the insertion line used.

Co-expression of CG17856GD9481 does not suppress the increase in the number of type II neuroblasts which is seen in the central brain of animals expressing NScer\UAS.T:SV5\V5,T:Zzzz\His6 under the control of Scer\GAL4insc-Mz1407.
