Detailed Description

Expression of EgfrKK100051 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PU leads to more rapid ethanol sedation compared to controls.

Reducing Egfr levels by EgfrKK100051-mediated knockdown in the posterior wing compartment (under the control of Scer\GAL4en-e16E), leads to the loss of the lateral vein L4 and the apical crossvein, along with some growth defects.

Knockdown of Egfr in wing margin cells, through the expression of EgfrKK100051 under the control of Scer\GAL4wg-IS650 and Scer\GAL80ts.αTub84B results in extra apoptosis even at 30 hours after pupal formation. As a result of this apoptosis, some inter-hair cells are lost.

The increased resistance to ethanol-induced sedation characteristic for both DopEcRc02142 and DopEcRGAL4 homozygous adults is significantly suppressed by expression of EgfrKK100051 under the control of the Scer\GAL4elav.PU driver in the DopEcRc02142 background or the intrinsic Scer\GAL4DopEcR-GAL4 driver in the DopEcRGAL4 mutants.

Reducing Egfr levels by EgfrKK100051-mediated knockdown in the posterior wing compartment (under the control of Scer\GAL4en-e16E), in a stepdsRNA.Scer\UAS background generates a more severe Egfr phenotype. The lateral vein L4 is entirely lost, both cross veins are not differentiated and the distal end of the lateral vein L5 is missing.

Expression of stepScer\UAS.FL suppresses the wing vein defects caused by expression of EgfrKK100051 in the posterior compartment of the wing, under the control of Scer\GAL4en-e16E.
