Expression of Rab3KK108633 (together with UAS-Dicer2 to enhance RNAi efficiency) under the control of either Scer\GAL4phm.PU or Scer\GAL42-286 is second/third larval stage lethal.
Expression of Rab3KK108633 (along with UAS-Dcr-2 expression) driven by Scer\GAL4phm.PO leads to developmental delay/arrest at the larval stage (around 5% at L1/2 and 5% at L3). Arrested third instar larvae also show an overgrowth phenotype due to the extended larval feeding period. Those larvae that do initiate pupariation are significantly delayed in doing so and exhibit overgrowth phenotypes. Feeding ecdysone (E) to larvae almost fully rescues the phenotypes.
