The expression of bratKK113206 under the combined control of Scer\GAL4insc-Mz1407 and Dicer-2 (for efficient RNAi) or under the combined control of Scer\GAL4wor.PA, Scer\GAL80ase.PN and Dicer-2 (for efficient RNAi) frequently leads to brain tumors; in the Scer\GAL4wor.PA, Scer\GAL80ase.PN-regulated expression condition, xenografts of tumor material (either brain pieces or sorted neuroblasts) also induce tumors in the hosts.

FLP-out somatic clones expressing bratKK113206 under the control of Scer\GAL4FRT.Rnor\Cd2.Act5C in the neural compartment of the optic lobe of third instar larvae contain some T4/T5 neurons displaying signs of dedifferentiation. There is no effect on the mode of division of type III neuroblasts.

The expression of bratKK113206 under the combined control of Scer\GAL4wor.PA and Scer\GAL80ase.PN leads to tumors in the larval brain.

The expression of bratKK113206 under the control of Scer\GAL4Toll-6-D42 leads to morphology changes in the third instar larval NMJ, namely satellite boutons instead of the expected "beads on a chain" and a significant increase in the number of active zones, despite of no effect in NMJ volume or synapse number.

Cultured pupal neuroblasts (NBs) from flies expressing bratKK113206 under the control of Scer\GAL4wor.PA and Scer\GAL80ase.PN are able to divide multiple times, but unlike wild type pupal NBs, they remain big and are indistinguishable from larval NBs.
