The expression of Atg12JF02704 under the control of Scer\GAL4Cg.PA blocks the starvation-induced accumulation of acidic vesicles (LysoTracker-positive) in the early third instar larval fat body, as compared to controls. Under standard conditions, there is no change in the number of autophagosome-like structures (Atg8a-positive), as compared to controls.
