Detailed Description
Statement

Flies containing homozygous clones induced using the eyFLP technique have smaller heads than normal ("pinhead" phenotype).

Lnk4Q3/Lnk6S2 adults and pupae are smaller than controls. Both male and female Lnk4Q3/Lnk6S2 adults are severely reduced in dry weight compared to controls.

Lnk4Q3/Lnk6S2 adults have smaller eyes than normal due to a reduction in the number of ommatidia compared to wild-type.

Lnk4Q3/Lnk6S2 females are sterile, having small ovaries that only contain oocytes that have developed until the last previtellogenic stage.

Lnk4Q3/Lnk6S2 flies have elevated levels of lipids compared to control flies.

Photoreceptor cells and rhabdomeres within homozygous clones in the eye are smaller than normal.

Mutant clones in the wing disc are smaller than their wild-type sister clones and contain fewer cells.

The eye overgrowth phenotype caused by expression of InRdel.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF is suppressed by Lnk4Q3/Lnk6S2.

The eye overgrowth phenotype caused by expression of Pi3K92EScer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC,T:Hsap\CAAX under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF is not suppressed by Lnk4Q3/Lnk6S2.
