The expression of N^HMS00001 under the control of Scer\GAL4^wor.PA or Scer\GAL4^GMR25B11 results in larval central brain neuroblasts ectopically proliferating (i.e. increased numbers in S-phase), compared to controls. The same is observed in stage 16 and 17 embryos.

Intestinal stem cell (ISC) clones expressing N^HMS00001 under the control of Scer\GAL4^hs.PU produce both ISC-like and EE-like tumors.

Expression of N^HMS00001 under the control of Scer\GAL4^esg-NP5130 (restricted to the adult stages using Scer\GAL80^ts.αTub84B) results in tumor-like intestinal stem cell accumulation.
