Expression of upd2HMS00948 under the control of Scer\GAL4Cg.PA results in significantly reduced weight in adult flies but it has no effect on food consumption or attraction to food cues. Scer\GAL4elav.PU-driven expression also does not affect food attraction or intake, but the average adult body weight is slightly increased relative to controls.
