Description

Generated as a FLP-mediated, site-specific recombination product between PBac{WH}PP2A-B'f05278 and PBac{RB}PP2A-B'e03725. Deletes all exons that encode the conserved protein domains of PP2A-B'. The only coding region remaining is a 3' exon of the alternatively spliced transcript PP2A-B'-RK.

Compared to PP2A-B'Δ homozygotes, there is a significant increase in the number of sex comb bristles in flies that are homozygous for PP2A-B'Δ and heterozygous for Df(3R)ED6265 (which uncovers wdb), Df(3R)ED5474 (which uncovers tws), or both these deletions. However, there is no increase in the number of pseudotracheal rows in the double mutants compared to PP2A-B'Δ homozygotes.

ScrMsc flies that are also heterozygous for PP2A-B'Δ do not have fewer sex combs on the second leg than ScrMsc mutants alone.
