Expressing TorGL00156 under the control of Scer\GAL4en.PU leads to more cells undergoing S-phase and mitosis in the posterior compartment of the wing disc (where Scer\GAL4en.PU is driving expression), despite a significant decrease in wing compartment size, as compared to controls.

Expression of TorGL00156 under the control of Scer\GAL4Myo31DF-NP0001 results in premature autophagy in the larval midgut and shortened gastric caeca at an early age, 4 hrs before puparium formation.

Expression of TorGL00156 under the control of Scer\GAL4cg.PU results in a lack of autophagic difference in the larval fat body between fed and starved flies as compared to controls.

Females heterozygous for TorGL00156 and MTD-Gal4 (consists of Scer\GAL4otu.T:Hsim\VP16, Scer\GAL4nos.PG and Scer\GAL4nos.UTR.T:Hsim\VP16) crossed to TorGL00156 males results in: no eggs; egg/embryonic phenotype: no vitellogenic egg chambers; oogenesis defect.

Scer\GAL4He.PZ-mediated expression of TorGL00156 markedly downregulates hemocyte counts in larvae.
