Expression of nopoScer\UAS.cUa in the developing eye, under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF produces a small and rough eye phenotype, resulting from extensive cell death posterior to the morphogenetic furrow in third instar eye discs.

Expression of nopoScer\UAS.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4sd-SG29.1 triggers strong apoptosis along the dorsal ventral compartment boundary in wing discs, and generated a small wing phenotype missing most of the wing margin tissue.
