Ectopic expression of ZyxScer\UAS.T:Myr-Src42A under the control of Scer\GAL4nub.PU results in significantly larger wings in adult flies and expression under Scer\GAL4GMR.PU results in significantly increased number of inter-ommatidial cells in the pupal retina and overgrown eyes in adults compared to controls.

Ectopic expression of ZyxScer\UAS.T:Myr-Src42A under the control of Scer\GAL4hh.PU increases cell proliferation in third instar larval wing disc epithelium and results in higher posterior/anterior compartment ratio compared to controls.

Ectopic expression of ZyxScer\UAS.T:Myr-Src42A under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PU results in significantly increased number of inter-ommatidial cells in pupal retina compared to wild-type.

Flies expressing ZyxScer\UAS.T:Myr-Src42A under the control of Scer\GAL4nub.PU in a ZyxΔ41/ZyxΔ41 background have adult wings that are significantly bigger in size than wild-type.

The increased adult wing size due to expression of ZyxScer\UAS.T:Myr-Src42A under the control of Scer\GAL4nub.PU can be partially suppressed by co-expression of cpaScer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 and cpbScer\UAS.cWa.

Co-expression of exGD12782 and ZyxScer\UAS.T:Myr-Src42A under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PU results in reduced adult eye size and a complete loss of photoreceptor cells in third instar larval eye discs compared to when exGD12782 is expressed alone.
