Ng et al. (2016) (Genetically targeted 3D visualisation of Drosophila neurons under Electron Microscopy and X-Ray Microscopy using miniSOG. Sci. Rep. 6: 38863; FBrf0234275) described the construction of UAS transgenes expressing various proteins fused to the miniSOG photosensitizer protein for labeling of subcellular compartments. 
P{UAS-myr.6xminiSOG.2xtagRFP} expresses the Src myristoylation tag fused at its C-terminus to six tandem copies of miniSOG and 2 copies of tagRFP under UASt control. The fusion protein localizes to the cell membrane.
P{UAS-Eb1.5xminiSOG.mKate2} expresses the Eb1 protein (PE isoform) fused at its C-terminus to 5 tandem copies of miniSOG and an mKate2 tag under UASt control. The fusion protein localizes to the cytoplasm.
PBac{UAS-Eb1.5xminiSOG.mKate2} expresses the Eb1 protein fused at its C-terminus to 5 tandem copies of miniSOG and an mKate2 tag under UASt control. It differs from P{UAS-Eb1.5xminiSOG.mKate2} only in the identity of the attP target site used for genomic integration. The fusion protein localizes to the cytoplasm.
P{UAS-Syt1.5xminiSOG.mKate2} expresses the Syt1 protein fused at its C-terminus to five tandem copies of miniSOG and an mKate2 tag under UASt control. The fusion protein localizes to synapses. The Syt1 protein may carry a S265G substitution, which does not affect its localization.
P{UAS-MCU.2xminiSOG} expresses the MCU protein fused at its C-terminus to two tandem copies of miniSOG under UASt control. The fusion protein localizes to mitochondria.
P{UAS-MCU.5xminiSOG} expresses the MCU protein fused at its C-terminus to five tandem copies of miniSOG under UASt control. The fusion protein localizes to mitochondria.
PBac{UAS-MCU.5xminiSOG} expresses the MCU protein (PG isoform) fused at its C-terminus to five tandem copies of miniSOG under UASt control. It differs from P{UAS-MCU.5xminiSOG} only in the identity of the attP target site used for genomic integration. The fusion protein localizes to mitochondria.

P{UAS-Lifeact.7xminiSOG.2xtagRFP} expresses the Lifeact peptide (MGVADLIKKFESISKEE) fused at its C-terminus to seven tandem copies to miniSOG and two copies of tagRFP under UASt control. The fusion protein binds F-actin.
