Description
Description

mKate2 is a monomeric fluorescent protein. It is an artificial derivative of the naturally occurring fluorescent protein encoded by the Entacmaea quadricolor eqFP578 gene, derived by mutagenesis of mKate. It is characterized by high brightness, excellent pH resistance and photostability and complete chromophore maturation. (PMID:19143658).
