tdKatushka2 is a far-red fluorescent protein with an excitation peak of 588nm and an emission peak of 633nm in vitro. It is an artificial derivative of the naturally occurring fluorescent protein encoded by the Entacmaea quadricolor eqFP578 gene, consisting of a tandem dimer of the Katushka2 fluorescent protein (PMID:19143658).
