sfCherry2(1-10) is a split fluorescent protein fragment derived from sfCherry2; it encodes strands 1-10 of the 11 strands of the sfCherry2 β-barrel structure. If the sfCherry2(1-10) split fluorescent fragment is brought together with a complementary split fluorescent fragment (e.g. sfCherry2(11)) in vivo, a functional fluorescent protein may be reconstituted (FBrf0249114).
