pHlorina is a pH-sensitive red fluorescent protein. It is an artificial derivative of mApple. pHlorina shows a large ratiometric pH response and high brightness; when shifted from pH 7.5 to pH5, pHlorina exhibits a more than 20-fold excitation ratiometric change and greater than sixfold red fluorescence intensity increase (FBrf0252897).
