In frame deletion of amino acids 68 to 146 in the conserved amino-terminal region.
In-frame deletion of amino acids I68 to T146.
embryonic ganglionic branch & embryonic tracheole (with cora5)
In cora5/cora4 embryos, tracheal phenotypes are apparent from stage 15. At stage 16 in these embryos the average dorsal trunk length is significantly greater than wild type (P<0.005) (122+/-2% mean+/-s.e.m., n>5, normalized to stage 16 wild-type value). In addition these embryos have moderately severe diameter increases in the dorsal trunk and other primary tracheal branches, and some ganglionic branches exhibit missing lumen.
Homozygous clones survive poorly in the wing imaginal epithelium.
Homozygous embryos have a faint cuticle and a dorsal hole. The remains of the salivary glands are present as necrotic material. No adult escapers are produced. Homozygous clones are seen in third instar wing imaginal discs. The cells within the clone are contiguous with the rest of the imaginal epithelium and appear normally shaped. cora4/cora15 adults lack the ocelli and all associated bristles.
Dominantly suppresses the rough eye phenotype of EgfrE1/+ heterozygotes; the eye is smaller than wild type with some roughening.
