Mosaic animals in which the eye tissue is homozygous for sesBG0386 show do not show eye formation. 2% of the expected number of sesBG0386/sesBorg flies survive to adulthood.

FlyBase curator comment: the P{lacW} insertion results in homozygous lethality, but since the insertion is within both the Ant2 and sesB transcription units, it is unclear whether the lethality is due to an effect on Ant2 or sesB (or both).
