The expression of RelGD1199 under the control of Scer\GAL4Tk.PS leads to fewer enteroendocrine cells and more lipid droplets in the adult anterior midgut.

Adults show increased lethality to infection with V. cholerae.

Expression of RelGD1199 under the control of Scer\GAL4da.G32 leads to a modest but significant decrease in climbing ability (negative geotaxis) in older (20 days old) flies, but not in young (2 days old) flies, as compared to controls.

Expressing RelGD1199 under the control of either Scer\GAL4Cg.PA or Scer\GAL4ppl.PP (but not Scer\GAL4Hml.Δ) results in a significantly reduced resistance to starvation and decreased lipid storage in the fat body of starved adult flies.

Adults expressing RelGD1199 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu (in the presence of Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa to increase the efficiency of RNAi) show significantly reduced avoidance of noxious temperature (46[o]C) compared to control flies.

Adults expressing RelGD1199 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu (in the presence of Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa to increase the efficiency of RNAi) show no significant change in the kinetics of high temperature (46[o]C) induced paralysis compared to control flies.

Additional Comments
Genetic Interactions
Statement
Reference

Expression of RelGD1199 under the control of Scer\GAL4da.G32 does not modify the impaired climbing ability, or the disrupted tissue or mitochondrial integrity in the flight muscles phenotype of either young park25 or young Pink1B9 mutants.

Xenogenetic Interactions
Statement
Reference

Co-expression of RelGD1199 significantly reduces the rough-eye phenotype induced by Scer\GAL4GMR.PFa>Zzzz\Tax-1Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC.
