Detailed Description
Statement
Reference

picPL12c/picPL12c limits clonal growth in the eye or wing disc.

pic2/picPL12c animals develop into viable adults, but these animals show a significant developmental delay and eclose on average 2 to 4 days later than control siblings at 25[o]C and 18[o]C respectively. The flies have cuticle defects including missing bristles and small bristles that resemble those of Minute mutants.

picPL12c/pic2 has macrochaeta phenotype, non-suppressible by gig[+]/gig192

Additional Comments
Genetic Interactions
Statement
Reference

DCAF12Δ1/DCAF12Δ1 suppresses the apoptotic phenotype (of limited clonal growth) in picPL12c/picPL12c eye clones or wing clones.

Heterozygosity for gig192 substantially suppresses the late eclosion phenotype and the semi-lethality of pic2/picPL12c animals, but the bristle defects caused by pic2/picPL12c are not significantly suppressed by gig192/+.

Xenogenetic Interactions
Statement
Reference

BacA\p35Scer\UAS.cUa expression suppresses the apoptotic phenotype (of limited clonal growth) in picPL12c/picPL12c eye clones.
