Flies expressing Gcn2KK103566 under the control of Scer\GAL4Act.PU or Scer\GAL4da.G32 during the adult stage and infected with P. entomophila show an increase in gut stem cell proliferation and in gut repair, in contrast to wild-type flies infected with P. entomophila.

Flies expressing Gcn2KK103566 under the control of Scer\GAL4da.G32 during the adult stage are more resistant to P. entomophila infection than control flies.

Expression of Gcn2KK103566 RNAi driven by Scer\GAL4elav.PU does not rescue the loss of dopaminergic ppl1 cluster neurons observed in either Pink1B9 or park25 mutant adults.

The age-progressive retinal degeneration characteristic for adult flies expressing ninaEG69D.Scer\UAS under the combined control of Scer\GAL4ninaE.PU and Scer\GAL4GMR.PU is further worsened by co-expression of Gcn2KK103566 and unlike in the flies expressing only ninaEG69D.Scer\UAS, the phenotype cannot be ameliorated by keeping the flies on a low-protein diet.

The shortening of the dendritic arbor in class IV ddaC neurons in third instar larvae expressing prelScer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 under the control of Scer\GAL4109(2)80 is not significantly affected by co-expression of Gcn2KK103566.
