Two copies of the Tag:FLAG tag has been inserted at the C-terminal end of the gcm coding region in the genomic fragment included in M{gcm.BAC}.
In the embryo, gcmT:ZzzzFLAG transiently labels a subset of glial cells in the ventral nerve cord, hemocyte precursors, tendon cells, two symmetric clusters in the procephalic mesoderm, interface glial cells and peritracheal cells in the abdomen, thorax and head. Expression in the ventral nerve cord glial cells starts at stage 10, earlier than expression of repo, with colocalisation observed in stages 11 to 13. Expression is also observed in a few elav-positive cells in the embryonic brain at stage 16. After stage 16, expression of gcmT:ZzzzFLAG disappears.
