[48C5-48C5];[48E4-48E4];
A set of ~800 largely isogenic deficiency stocks created by FLP-induced recombination between FRT-carrying transgenic insertions; molecularly defined deletion endpoints correspond to initial location of the progenitor insertions. Designed to fill gaps in deletion coverage and breakpoint placement; also used to replace older available deficiencies that have not been molecularly mapped.

Breakpoint from FlyBase's release 5 sequence location of progenitor insertion.
Lethal in combination with Df(2R)BSC879.
Presence of Df(2R)BSC199 was verified using the PCR methods and primers described in FBrf0175003 with the substitution of the primer 5'-CCAATGCGTTTATTTCAGGTCACG-3' for the RB3' plus or RB3' minus primer in the Hybrid PCR protocol in the Supplementary Methods.
The cytological breakpoints of Df(2R)BSC199 predicted from the progenitor P{XP}d10427 and PBac{RB}Odae03814 insertions sites using Release 4 coordinates are 48D1;48E4.
