      Homozygous egg chambers contain binucleate cells. Remnants of ring canals are usually seen, although rarely no ring canal remnants are detectable in binucleate cells.

      Stage 14 egg chambers of homozygous mothers exhibit dorsal filaments that are formed on top of the remaining nurse cells. Filaments are broad and fused at the base.
