Expression of NcΔN.C-A.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4Lsp2.PH results in 25% pupal lethality.
Overexpression of NcΔN.C-A.Scer\UAS in the ddaC neurons under the control of Scer\GAL4ppk.1.9 results in a marked suppression of dendritic pruning. At 14 hours after pupal formation, the dendrites are detached from the soma but still largely cover the same 'footprint' as in third instar larvae. The morphology of detached branches varies: some show proximal swellings, whereas others are thinned and beaded along their entire length.
