Homozygous Akt13 mutants reared on 100g/l yeast food weigh approximately the same as wild-type flies reared on 10g/l yeast food. When reared on 10g/l yeast food, these mutants exhibit a delay in development but only mildly decreased size and weight compared to controls.
Akt11/Akt13 mutant adult flies have a reduced body weight compared to heterozygous controls. Wing area is also reduced compared to controls.
