The expression of rodGD8768 under the control of Scer\GAL4e22c leads to lagging chromosomes during mitosis, X chromosome aneuploidy, increased DNA damage, increased apoptosis and basal delamination in the wing disc posterior compartment of both females and males; loss of the X chromosome was detected in females, but never in males.

Larvae expressing rodGD8768 under the control of Scer\GAL4Hml.PG show normal rates of encapsulation of eggs when parasitised by the avirulent L. boulardi wasp strain G486.

Adults expressing rodGD8768 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu (in the presence of Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa to increase the efficiency of RNAi) do not show a significant defect in avoidance of noxious temperature (46[o]C) compared to control flies.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 results in loss of bristles on the notum in 30-40% of the Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 expression domain.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 results in bristle morphology defects on the notum in 20-30% of the Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 expression domain.

The co-expression of rodGD8768 and BacA\p35UAS.cHa under the control of Scer\GAL4ap-md544 induces wing disc neoplasia, with amplification of the resident myoblast population. Myoblast ablation (by expressing rprlexAop.cSa under the control of Ecol\lexAGMR15B03) does not suppress the tumor-like growth.

The co-expression of rodGD8768 and BacA\p35UAS.cHa under the control of Scer\GAL4hh.PU induces wing disc tumor-like growth. Myoblast ablation (by expressing rprlexAop.cSa under the control of Ecol\lexAGMR15B03) does not suppress the tumor-like growth.

The co-expression of rodGD8768 and BacA\p35UAS.cHa under the control of Scer\GAL4en-e16E induces wing disc tumor-like growth, with increased mitotic index.
