While HrsD28 homozygotes die at the early pupal stage, animals homozygous for HrsD28 and Df(1)rush4, sta+t4.4 never reach the pupal stage. Expression of rushScer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP under the control of Scer\GAL4arm.PS rescues this early lethality.
Co-expression of rushScer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP and Rab5Q88L.Scer\UAS.P\T.T:Avic\GFP-YFP using Scer\GAL4CU1 results in striking changes in endosome morphology: the Rab5Q88L.Scer\UAS.P\T.T:Avic\GFP-YFP-induced large endosomes change their shape and form clusters of smaller interconnected vesicles.
