While Df(1)rush⁴, sta^+t4.4 homozygous fies and Rab5²heterozygotes are viable, their combination decreases viability at embryonic and pupal stages. This decreased survival is partially rescued by expression of rush^{Scer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP} under the control of Scer\GAL4^arm.PS.

While Hrs^D28 homozygotes die at the early pupal stage, animals homozygous for Hrs^D28 and Df(1)rush⁴, sta^+t4.4 never reach the pupal stage. Expression of rush^{Scer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP} under the control of Scer\GAL4^arm.PS rescues this early lethality.

Expression of rush^{Scer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP} under the control of Scer\GAL4^arm.PS decreases the fraction of car¹ flies eclosing.

Expression of rush^{Scer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP} under the control of Scer\GAL4^arm.PS decreases the fraction of VhaSFD^EY04644/+ flies eclosing.

Co-expression of rush^{Scer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP} and Rab5^{Q88L.Scer\UAS.P\T.T:Avic\GFP-YFP} using Scer\GAL4^CU1 results in striking changes in endosome morphology: the Rab5^{Q88L.Scer\UAS.P\T.T:Avic\GFP-YFP}-induced large endosomes change their shape and form clusters of smaller interconnected vesicles.

Scer\GAL4^arm.PS-mediated expression of rush^{Scer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP} decreases the viability of Gdi^AF160 heterozygotes.
