Drives expression in DN1 neurons and DN1p neurons. The 4.1M insertion (BDSC stock #36316) drives expression in DN1p neurons, while the 4.5F insertion (BDSC stock #37526) drives expression in all DN1 neurons.

GFP reconstitution across synaptic partners (GRASP) using ScerGAL4Clk.4.1M in combination with EcollexAPdf.cSa.T:HsimVP16 shows expression at the most distal part of s-LNv dorsal projections, ventral to DN1p neuron cell bodies.

ScerGAL4Clk.4.5F labels 8 to 10 posterior DN1 neurons.

Detailed Description
Statement
Reference

Elimination of molecular clock function (using cycΔ.UAS.Tag:MYC) in Scer\GAL4Clk.4.1M cells in adults does not affect the strength of the circadian rhythm of sleep-wake cycles, compared to controls.

Inhibition (using Ctet\tetXTNT-LC.UAS) of Scer\GAL4Clk.1.5 cells in adults results in a significantly lower circadian clock entrainment index for locomotor activity rhythms under 25[o] C:27 [o]C temperature cycles in constant light conditions, compared to controls; this inhibition results in a significantly reduced phase-shift, compared to controls, when light-dark entrained flies are moved to dark-dark with 8 h delayed 25[o] C:27 [o]C temperature cycles.
