AlphaFold produces a per-residue confidence score (pLDDT) between 0 and 100. Some regions with low pLDDT may be unstructured in isolation.

The testis specificity index was calculated from modENCODE tissue expression data by Vedelek et al., 2018 to indicate the degree of testis enrichment compared to other tissues. Scores range from -2.52 (underrepresented) to 5.2 (very high testis bias).

Prat transcript is expressed at all developmental stages. Prat transcript is present at the earliest embryonic stages, indicating a maternally deposited component. Zygotic embryonic expression peaks between 4 and 12 hours AEL, and continues to be strongly expressed through the first larval instar. Prat transcript falls to low levels during the second larval instar, then increases through prepupal stages. At adult stages, Prat transcipt is expressed at much higher levels in females than males; the majority of the adult female expression is in the ovaries. The Prat developmental expression pattern is distinct from that of duplicate gene Prat2; the latter has no ovarian expression.

Please Note This section lists cDNAs and ESTs that fall within the genomic extent of the gene model, which may include cDNAs and ESTs of genes within introns, or of overlapping genes. Please see JBrowse for alignment of the cDNAs and ESTs to the gene model.
For each fully sequenced cDNA the DGRC maintains various forms of the cDNA (e.g tagged or untagged) in several different host vectors for subsequent cloning and expression in Drosophila and Drosophila cell lines.
Mutant adult females have a significantly shorter life span than normal, show reduced fertility that is conditional on diet and associated with alterations of egg chambers, and show a semi-lethal maternal effect that appears to be due to defects in nuclear proliferation during the early stages of embryonic development and results in segmental defects.
By comparing methylation by Ecol\dam methylase between euchromatic and heterochromatic genes it was determined that the heterochromatic state does not prevent methylase accessibility in vivo.
Prat function is an important regulatory point of the de novo purine pathway.
Prat encodes the enzyme that catalyses the first committed step and regulatory point in the de novo purine biosynthesis pathway.
