Drives expression at embryonic stage 14 in the corpus cardiacum primordium. Expression is stronger in later embryos and in first instar larvae. In third instar larvae, expression is observed in neuronal processes that innervate the prothoracic gland; these processes are not labeled in first instar larvae. In the adult corpus cardiacum, expression is observed in AKHergic neurons that project to the brain and to the crop.

ScerGAL4Akh.PL is expressed in various neurons that innervate the ring gland, but is not expressed in the glandular cells themselves.

ScerGAL4Akh.PL first drives expression at embryonic stage 14 in the corpus cardiacum primordium. ScerGAL4Akh.PL-driven expression is stronger in later embryos and in first instar larvae. In third instar larvae, expression is observed in neuronal processes that innervate the prothoracic gland; these processes are not labeled in first instar larvae. In the adult corpus cardiacum, expression is observed in AKHergic neurons that project to the brain and to the crop.
